Stay Away!! The worst customer experience I ever had. After two weeks late I checked on my work and it wasn't started, then after a disagreement on when he said it would be done he called me a "liar." I said that the work not being done on time has really put me in a bind and he replied "how does it feel to be f***ed." I got in my car and drove to his competitor in Williston and they did the job well for the same price in 3 days.
I have a wonderful experience every time I go, and am always pleased with the work that they do!
Worst experience; I was told it would take 3 w to re-glue 2 soles and put about 6 stitches in the seam of a boot. Owner said he'd call me when they were ready. Over 3 weeks later I called to find out if they were ready. No they weren't and was defensive and hostile, saying he'd get to my order when he could find it! I decided to go and pick them up and repair them myself. When I arrived there and asked for my shoes/boot he berated me for not calling him and telling him I was coming because he had no idea where my order was. I suggested I return the next day, no reply. He then slammed a bag with my shoes in on the counter angrily saying "Where else are you going to take these?" I decided no response was wiser than what I really wanted to say, picked up the bag and left. Shop is for sale; hope someone with pride in their work who's at least polite to his customers replaces this wretched creature.
If I could give this business no stars, I would. It will took months to get my shoes fixed and when I finally got them, the person who owns this establishment was rude, disrespectful and arrogant. I strongly recommend you avoid Onion River Cobbler at all costs. Try the Williston shoe repair shop, the service is much better.
PLEASE do NOT go to this cobbler. I have never written a review of anything in my life before but I felt compelled to do so because of how horribly I was treated by the man that works at or owns this shop. I left almost in tears because of how mean this person was. I brought a boot in to be fixed and he told me it would take a month, which I thought was a very long time but I left it there anyways. It took TWO AND A HALF MONTHS!! I was about to actually go and get my boot and bring it elsewhere because I could not believe how long it was taking, and then I got a call saying it was done. As you can imagine, I lost my ticket in the two and a half months it took for the boot to be fixed. When he asked if I had the ticket and I said no, he yelled at me saying "WELL I DONT HAVE YOUR BOOT THEN!" and then began accusing me of being irresponsible, when he was the one yelling at a paying customer after it took him over double the amount of time he said it would to do his job. Really sad, sad, mean old man. Please do not go here.
